More 93-06

This is a photo of my favorite intersectional hybrid from among those that have bloomed so far. This creation has flowers that are both charming and everchanging as well as foliage and plant habit that are near perfection.  Notice also the large number of side buds.  These extend the blooming time of this plant to nearly four weeks.

Seedling # IC-93-06 is from the cross (Martha Washington x Golden Era). This is the largest plant in my garden with dimensions of 40" high and 42" in diameter. In it second year of bloom, it had more than 50 flowers. The third year it had more than a hundred flowers.  The flowers are semi-double to double and open a light orange (actually light yellow heavily overlayed with pink), before changing to a bright clear yellow. The above photo shows several flowers in the early stage (orangy) of development.   This is probably my best intersectional hybrid.
